I come from a humble background, born and brought up in a small town of Mandya, a district in south of Karnataka state. I come from a middle-class family, father a teacher and mother a homemaker, completed my studies in merit seats and government institutes. I have an elder brother, an M Tech grad from IIT Chennai, working in IT industry. I am a qualified, experienced and passionate Gastro-intestinal and Liver/ Pancreatic surgeon practicing in Bangalore. I have been trained in Liver transplantation and am a part of transplant team at our hospital. I see people with abdominal surgical problems- from Gall bladder/ Appendix problems to Liver or other GI cancers. I have special interest in GI bleeding, GI cancer, Liver and Pancreatic surgeries. When not operating, I spend time either reading books, watching surgical videos/ movies, playing table tennis.
